Suggestions for a winter trip?
Last year we went to Jackson Hole and loved it. We are considering just going back, but also want to explore a new place. We’re considering Whistler Canada. We’re not really into the skiing, but more into the other outdoor winter stuff, like snowmobiling, nature tours, snow-shoe hiking, etc..We live in Texas, and strictly have to travel American Airlines (discount). So accessability is a plus. We prefer condos rather than standard hotels…suggestions??? PLEEEASE! Thanks!

Telluride, Colorado…fly into Denver…the drive to there is worth seeing…
Banff or Jasper is great. Jasper has the Columbia Icefields, and Banff has the Upper Hot springs. Among many other things of course. Banff is approx. an hour from Calgary, where you can do the city thing if you wish. It’s some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, and there are several different styles of accomodations available. Do a little online research, and you may be in for a suprise. Oh, and Calgary has an international airport, and am almost sure, they have AA fly in there.
If your primary concern is not skiing but other outdoor winter activities i would suggest either Mount Tremblant or Quebec City for an all around good time. Up north Ontario has awesome snow mobile trails as does up north Michigan, stay at traverse city if you go there.
Or check out Lake Louise, it’s breathtaking!! It’s also close to Banff & Jasper.
